In class, we discussed the qualities of a good 'leader'. The person I think holds great leadership qualities is my Father. He is a big influence because he gets up every day at 3:00am to go to work so that we have food on the table and that our well being is looked after. My dad is very supportive because he has been there since the day I was born. Even if he wakes up at 3 in the morning and is tired by the time we get home from school, he still has a smile on his face and asked us How were you're day at school or How was school?. I really love & appreciate my dad so much.

This event is my dad’s Niuean side of celebrating Christmas eve, this has been a family tradition ever since the passing of my Papa. This event is where we all get together and pick one family’s house to have the event. We get partners to give the hampers or Envelope to and we take Island food like Lusipi, Lu'au, Panikeke, Takihi and etc. If we are a little tired we just buy takeaways like Kfc and a platter from Great tong. This is how we get ready for this event. We prepare by Buying food for hampers then we go buy baskets and wrapping paper. We get home then put the hampers together so it's ready a day early so that we don’t need to rush on the day… It is now the next day and we are up, cooking, and getting ready. We usually cook the Takiki - Takihi is a sweet and savory dish with layers of Taro and Pawpaw, & poured on every individual layer is either Homemade Coconut Cream or Kara Coconut cream from the shop then Cooked for 2.3 hours in the Umu. The gift that we receive is getting to see our whole family as one in one house and seeing our Nana with us for another year.

Social Studies
Summary
They wanted to find out where they originated from or where their parent relatives come from. I learned that Nathans's father comes from a place called Mahia and Rarotonga where the wakas had left 700 years ago. His mother is from a place called Alaska/Siberia but they never explored that because it is not a Polynesian island. Oscar's Mother originated from Samoa and his father originated from Central and southern East Asia. Then they next went to Taiwan and met a girl named Niwa which is a Maori name.
